What Caused The Sand Creek Massacre
The Sand Creek Massacre was caused by corrupt Indian agents, racist Colonel John Chivington, and an ambitious Colorado Territorial Governor John Evans, who some called, the first 19th century real estate developer. Mis-communication, fear, ignorance, disrespect, and racism also played integral roles in causing the Sand Creek Massacre.
