The Cheyenne and Arapaho Veterans have invited me to be a guest speaker along with Oklahoma Governor Eddie Hamilton, Lt. Gov. Cornell Stanley and Hershel Gorham, USMC, at their Memorial Day Service on May 25, 2017 at the Main Complex next to the Veterans Memorial Wall in Concho, Oklahoma. My award-winning film, “The Sand Creek Massacre”, will be shown at lunch. I will also speak and show the film in the evening for the community of Concho, Oklahoma at the Concho Community Hall. Thousands of America’s indigenous people served and are serving in the U. S. military. Many of them helped me tell the story of the Sand Creek Massacre on film. It is an honor for me to be able to be part of this Service. I highly respect the Cheyenne and Arapaho people along with veterans of the U. S. military. Take some time out on Memorial Day and share your appreciation for our veterans by silently honoring them in your hearts and minds.
